Can I thank the people of Midlothian for their tremendous support during the election campaign.
While the national decision has resulted in no overall control, Midlothian constituents voted overwhelmingly to support Labour, increasing the majority to 10,349 an incease of over 3,000 votes.
I thank you all sincerely for the trust you have put in me and I will do my utmost to serve the people of Midlothian.
